HTTP caching is a key part of what makes the web usable, and draft standards like HTTPbis add further refinements to the existing HTTP/1.1 caching features. Too few people understand the benefit of using a caching reverse proxy server to improve web page delivery speeds, and instead go straight to a CDN solution, which can be costly and complex to administer.
